Our Beloved Angel
The Amazing Life Of Kaleb
Hi, we are the family of Kaleb Ivey. We were blessed by
God the day our Kaleb
entered our lives. He had HLHS a congenital heart
defect, left untreated causes death just days after birth.
For our Kaleb we chose LIFE. We elected to have him
undergo the three stage corrective procedure that
would in the end make his half developed heart function
like a whole one. From his pictures I am sure you can
tell this choice proved the best for Kaleb until what
would have been his final procedure.

And over the years he amazed most of his Doctors. If
you have just had a baby with HLHS, Please know that
more of these babies survive today than even 5 years
ago! And even though our Kaleb was among the
pioneers with HLHS we never have regretted our
decision to let him live! As the song The Dance says...
We could have missed the pain, but we would have
missed the DANCE! And oh, the Dance with our Kaleb
for 3 1/2 years was worth all the pain.
